07 February 2025 - With one year to go until the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, Worldwide Olympic Partner Samsung is bringing the Olympic spirit to the heart of Milan with an immersive fan experience.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Sport Village powered by Samsung & Enel opened with a special launch event on 6 February, attended by guests including Martina Riva, Milan’s Councillor for Sport, Tourism and Youth Policies, and Andrea Varnier, CEO of the Milano Cortina 2026 Organising Committee, as well as Samsung executives. The evening culminated in a breathtaking projection show on the façade of the Palazzo dei Portici Meridionali, illuminating the Piazza del Duomo with a dazzling display to celebrate one year to go to the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026.
From 6 February, the Milano Cortina 2026 Sport Village powered by Samsung & Enel will transform the Piazza del Duomo into a hub of winter sports, technology and cultural engagement, welcoming visitors for a full month of interactive activities and celebrations.
At the centre of the activation is the Sport Village, where fans of all ages can step onto the ice to try their hand at ice hockey and curling. Expert instructors will guide participants through 30-minute sessions covering the fundamentals of each sport, from skating techniques and stickhandling in hockey to the rules and strategies of curling.
Beyond the ice, visitors will have the chance to immerse themselves in the world of winter sports through Samsung’s latest technology. The Galaxy Experience Space will allow fans to capture their moments on the ice with a souvenir photo. Competitions throughout the month will challenge participants to achieve the longest jump, with exclusive prizes on offer.
Adding to the festive atmosphere, Olympic mascots Tina and Milo will greet visitors for free hugs and selfies, creating shareable moments to generate excitement for Milano Cortina 2026. The Sport Village will also serve as a platform for creativity and innovation, hosting a cultural workshop led by top Italian influencers using the recently launched Samsung Galaxy S25 series.
These workshops will help users to optimise their Samsung devices on areas such as wellness, photography and gaming. Additionally, a Samsung Galaxy workshop designed for students will explore ways to enhance learning and creativity through artificial intelligence.
