About Euro NCAP

Euro NCAP is a European car safety performance assessment programme based in Leuven, Belgium. Established in 1997, Euro NCAP is composed of seven European Governments as well as motoring and consumer organisations in every European country. Euro NCAP provides consumers with an Independent assessment of the safety level of the most popular cars sold in Europe. Euro NCAP has created the five-star safety rating system determined from a series of vehicle tests, designed and carried out to help consumers, their families and businesses compare vehicles more easily and to help them identify the safest choice for their needs. Euro NCAP has rapidly become a catalyst for encouraging significant safety improvements to new car design.
