Dec 17, 2024 - TikTok is now the official entertainment partner of the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS). The partnership will provide a new home for snow sports fans around the world, offering over one billion fans on the platform unique insights into the 2024/25 season with creative and entertaining content as well as eight new additional competition accounts.

Over the coming months, from the FIS Tour de Ski and Four Hills through to the FIS World Ski Championships in Saalbach; Trondheim, and Engadin, FIS will take the community directly to the take off, showing the preparation, as well as exclusive insights that will inspire existing fans and attract new ones.

As part of the partnership, the vast array of ski and snowboard content produced by FIS will be highlighted in-app in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, including a dedicated #wintersport search hub to bring the winter thrill to many more people.

There’s a reason why we have adopted a content-first digital strategy: we have no doubt that the action in ski and snowboard is appealing to audiences around the world, whether they’re already fans of snow sports or still haven’t discovered that they are. A crucial axis of this strategy is having robust storytelling and distribution to the right audiences, and this is exactly what this partnership provides us with: an immense digital engagement window to the world.
– Benjamin Stoll, FIS Digital & Innovation Director
Winter sports enjoy a massive global fan base on TikTok, and our partnership with FIS is a natural fit to supercharge their experience. By bringing together the world's best winter sports competitions and athletes onto our platform, we're creating a one-stop shop for fans to connect, engage, and celebrate their passion. As FIS's channels continue to grow, we're excited to support these disciplines and fuel the excitement of the winter sports community on TikTok.
– Karsten Samland, Head of Publisher Management at TikTok

From having launched a successful all-in-one TikTok channel for the 2023/24 season, FIS has now fully embraced the platform, with the creation of discipline-specific channels tailored to different profiles of snow sports fans:
