- Company accelerates its global market strategy by sharing a future growth vision with about 50 partners worldwide
SEOUL, South Korea, April 28, 2025 – NEXEN TIRE, a leading global tire manufacturer, has announced the successful completion of its global partnership event, 'Purple Summit 2025,' held in Munich, Germany from April 25 to 27.
Since 2016, Purple Summit has served as a key worldwide marketing platform where NEXEN TIRE invites major partners from all over the world to share its long-term vision and collaborative roadmap. This year's event took place in Germany for the first time, after the company's recent partnership with FC Bayern München. The event boosted NEXEN TIRE's footprint in key worldwide regions like Europe, North America, Asia, and Latin America.
NEXEN TIRE continues to solidify its global position as a premium brand. Through initiatives like Purple Summit, the company has built brand trust while expanding its original equipment (OE) supply to global automakers. NEXEN TIRE commenced its first global OE (Original Equipment) supply in 2012, and has since continued to strengthen partnerships with leading car manufacturers around the world. The company's European plant in Žatec, Czech Republic will complete its second phase of production capacity expansion this year.
The Purple Summit represents NEXEN TIRE's strategic vision. The company uses its FC Bayern München sponsorship not only to increase brand visibility, but also as a vital marketing strategy. The 2025 event welcomed approximately 50 business partners from 24 countries who explored NEXEN TIRE's global growth strategy and market goals. Partners also toured Allianz Arena and watched a live match, gaining personal experience with FC Bayern München's brand values and NEXEN TIRE's premium sports marketing approach.
These strategic initiatives produced tangible results. NEXEN TIRE presently sells products in roughly 150 countries, accounting for approximately 85% of total revenue generated internationally. The company’s global consumer base has grown steadily thanks to sports marketing, customized promotions, and premium product experiences. NEXEN TIRE’s revenue initially crossed KRW 1 trillion in 2010, then KRW 2 trillion in 2019, and KRW 2.85 trillion in 2024, demonstrating consistent growth.
“The Purple Summit is an important forum for sharing NEXEN TIRE’s strategic vision in close collaboration with our worldwide partners,” said Travis Kang, Global CEO of NEXEN TIRE. “We will continue to improve brand credibility in major markets global markets and achieve long-term growth with our valued partners.”
