05 February 2025 - The documentary series Simone Biles Rising has been recognised by the Producers Guild of America with the award for “Outstanding Sports Programme”. Produced in association with Olympic Channel Services, the series follows US gymnast Simone Biles on her journey before, during and after the Olympic Games Paris 2024.
The award was presented to the Simone Biles Rising production team at the Producers Guild of America’s annual celebration in New York City.
Yiannis Exarchos, Executive Director of Olympic Channel Services, said: “Simone Biles represents the very essence of resilience and determination, embodying the values that make the Olympic Games a source of global inspiration. This collaboration has allowed us to share her powerful journey with audiences, bringing to light the human stories behind the superhuman achievements seen on the Olympic stage.”
