World financial leaders met in Washington, DC at the Spring Meetings of the IMF and World Bank Friday (April 25).
Representatives on the International Monetary and Financial Committee (IMFC) usually meet twice a year, at the Bank-Fund Annual and Spring Meetings to formulate a communique or statement outlining the proposed agenda for the IMF’s work program during the half year leading up to the next Meetings.
The IMFC has 25 members who are central bank governors, ministers, or others of comparable rank and who are usually drawn from the governors of the IMF's 191 member countries.
The IMFC is currently chaired by Saudi Arabia Minister of Finance, Mr. Mohammed Aljadaan, for a term of three years, effective January 4, 2024.
