Hamburg awards concessions for the operation of 2,500 charging points in the city in order to expand the charging infrastructure.
Private operators can apply for 5 lots, each with 500 charging points in public spaces. The expansion should be completed by mid-2027. This will not only expand the city's charging network, but also give private operators the opportunity to set up a charging infrastructure in Hamburg.
Hamburger Energiewerke Mobil GmbH (HEnW Mobil) currently operates over 1,600 charging points in public spaces and is also planning to expand the city's charging infrastructure.
