London, UK, Jun. 21, 2023: Genesis Motor Europe today announces two exciting European debuts for this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed in partnership with Mastercard 2023. Set to be seen for the first time in Europe will be the exciting GV80 Coupe Concept and Genesis X Convertible show car.

Making its first public European debut is the sporty GV80 Coupe Concept, following its unveiling in New York in April this year. GV80 Coupe Concept combines the practicality of a lifestyle-oriented SUV with the dynamism of a sports car. Based on the Genesis ‘Two Lines’ design concept, it features performance-enhancing additions, including a distinctive ducktail spoiler. Further emphasising the car’s sporty character are 23-inch matte black finished forged alloy wheels, four bucket individual, a G-Matrix rear strut brace to increase overall torsional stiffness and wide, carbon fibre wheel arches.

Andrew Pilkington, Managing Director at Genesis UK, said: “The GV80 Coupe Concept looks like it is always at speed, even when it is sat still. This European debut highlights the confidence of the Genesis brand and indicates the possibility of a sporty aspect in the future. The concept is a perfect way to celebrate our continuing successful partnership with this distinguished British festival.”

The stunning Genesis X Convertible will also be making its first appearance in Europe. Alongside the X Concept and X Speedium Coupe, it’s the third of Genesis’ Concept Trilogy of electric design studies that showcase the brand's commitment to a future of sustainable luxury. Giving showgoers a taste of the latest evolution of the brand’s trademark Athletic Elegance design language, it features a unique folding hardtop roof that houses individual glass panels above the front occupants, providing driver and passengers a direct connection with their surrounding environment.

Genesis X Convertible can be viewed by visitors on the Genesis stand, where it’s joined by the brand’s range of vehicles, including GV60, Electrified G80, Electrified GV70 and GV70 SUV. The 2023 GV60 will be in action on the legendary hillclimb route over the duration of the event.
