21 January 2024 - France’s fantastic form at Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Gangwon 2024 has continued with another gold in Biathlon.
Antonin Guy followed up his gold in the men’s individual event on Saturday by joining forces with Alice Dusserre in the Single Mixed Relay on Sunday.
Each athlete completed two legs of the relay, with each men’s leg being 7.5km and each women’s leg 6km.
The French pair finished 50 seconds clear of Germany, represented by women’s individual silver medallist Marie Keudel and Korbi Kuebler. They claimed silver by just 0.3 secs from the Norwegian team of Eiril Nordboe and Storm Veitsle, who was already silver medallist in the individual behind Guy.
Gangwon 2024 runs until 1 February, with more than 1,800 athletes from 78 NOCs taking part. The Winter Youth Olympic Games is filmed for live television and digital streaming on the Olympic Channel via Olympics.com and the Olympics app, with full session replays and highlights also available.
