The collapse of the Thomas Cook travel company deserves greater attention from the European Union to ease the impact on both tourists and the tourist industry across Europe, says Rosa Estaràs Ferragut of the EPP Group. With 12 million European jobs and 4% of EU GDP dependent on tourism, the EU should provide more support to ease the hardship.
