Frankfurt, Germany, 25 February 2025: As part of its corporate social responsibility Genesis Motor Europe has donated over €53,000 to German children’s charity Aktion Kinder-Unfallhilfe e.V .
The donation was made possible by the success of Genesis Track Taxi Nordschleife programme and marks a crucial step in the ongoing development of the brand’s corporate social responsibility initiatives in Europe. The programme, which returns to the Nürburgring in Germany in March, offers passenger rides to the public in a modified G70 at one of the world’s most thrilling racetracks.
“We are incredibly proud to support Aktion Kinder-Unfallhilfe e.V.” said Luc Donckerwolke, Chief Creative Officer and Chief Brand Officer of Genesis. “Safety is paramount at Genesis. This commitment extends far beyond the driver and passengers to include pedestrians and other road users. We hope this donation will help young accident victims and their families and create a positive impact in road safety initiatives in local communities.”
Aktion Kinder-Unfallhilfe was founded in 1998 and provides support to the youngest road users by helping young accident victims and promoting a variety of road safety projects. The association funds therapy facilities in clinics and rehabilitation facilities as well as horse riding therapy, trips or adventure weekends. Additionally, they provide care and support to young accident victims as they overcome the mental and physical consequences of the accidents they have been involved in.
Every 19 minutes a child is involved in a traffic accident in Germany and the donation from Genesis will also go towards accident prevention campaigns, training sessions for children and drivers. These will include teaching children about the dangers of blind spots, the importance of high visibility clothing, safety equipment, and educating transport companies on safer driving practices in residential communities.
Commenting on Genesis Motor Europe’s donation the Chairman of the Board of Aktion Kinder-Unfallhilfe e.V., Stefan Windgätter, said “It is a pleasure to accept Genesis Motor Europe’s donation to our organisation. The entire donation amount will go directly to our initiatives across Germany. It will go a long way in delivering crucial services and support programmes for young people throughout Germany for which we are incredibly thankful.”
Globally Genesis has a well-established reputation for developing world-class cars that exceed customer needs and expanding this commitment into local communities. This includes providing better access to STEM education and youth sport initiatives to under resourced communities in North America through the Genesis Gives initiative, as well as the work of the non-profit Genesis Inspiration Foundation which offers grants to support talented young artists and in 2024 brought its lifetime total giving to $10 million in just six years.
